Dear potential vendors,

We are thrilled to invite you to our Groove Station (The Top Off) event, taking place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 3 pm – 9 pm. This event will take place in the Fort Washington, Maryland location featuring music performances, food, and beverages to be sold on the property. We are in need of 5 vendors to complete our roaster for those interested.

As we anticipate a very good turnout of attendees, we are currently seeking vendors who would like to showcase their products and services. We believe that your business could be an excellent addition to our event, and we would love to have your participation.

Our event will provide an exceptional opportunity for branding, exposure, and networking with the unique crowd that our event attracts. Vendors will be provided a space to showcase their products and also have a chance to engage with our event-goers.

It’s here! The final installment of our Groove Station series! So far the music has been incredible, the weather great and the vibe just right!

Free parking, 2.5 acres of green grass, picnic tables, and plenty of space to bring your small canopies, tents, and chairs. and yard games.
Admission $5 additional donations accepted.
Dinner and beverages will be available for sale.

Our mission for #HOTWMD (House on the Waterfront Weekender) is to create an inclusive and immersive experience that celebrates house music and the culture surrounding it. We strive to foster a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees to express themselves through dance, music, art, and fashion. Our goal is to provide a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their talents and build meaningful connections within the community. We aim to leave a positive and lasting impact by giving back to the community and promoting sustainability practices. Our mission is to inspire and uplift, leaving all attendees with a sense of unity, creativity, and empowerment.

Welcome Erika Jacobsen White (Riki Rain) as a sponsor for this year’s House on the Waterfront Weekender.

Erika Jacobsen White, Esq. aka RikiRain is excited to be a sponsor of #HOTWMD. Erika is a civil rights, employment, and labor lawyer who also serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the First Shift Justice Project. Erika has fused her love of music with her political work since 1998 as a co-creator of Inspire Productions, which held multiple events at the Edge Nightclub to raise money for organizations like Metro Teen AIDS and City at Peace.

RikiRain continued her passion for bringing the community together with UNISON – a collective dedicated to building events that celebrate generosity and community, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for organizations since its founding including the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. Since returning to the DMV, Erika spearheaded the Dance Like a Mother event for the last three years, to support First Shift Justice Project’s mission to help mothers and caregivers fight workplace discrimination and prevent job loss, has been featured by TMF1 Productions during Female DJ Herstory X, and has recently been working with the Foundation for Creative Cultural Expression on their new “Elevate” series of fundraisers for community beneficiaries.

Join us for the second installment of the Groove Station, The Check Up! This next lineup of premium DJs will definitely take care of your house music needs! Dj Donna Baby, Ernest Fountain & Darrel Lewis will be delivering the music.

We are at our new outdoor house music headquarters, The Spot! Located in the heart of Hyattsville Md, bring your small canopies, leashed pets, family, picnic baskets, and your beverage of choice.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the Spot. Free, metered, and street parking are nearby. $10 admission helps to offset the costs associated with the House on the Waterfront Weekender events, August 11-13th. The rain date is June 18th.

This year we are proud to once again release our second edition of #HOTWMD Music Compilation which is a reflection of different genres of music ranging from soulful house to afro, to tech, there is something for every deejay and dancer in this package. Our all-star cast of producers this year comes from all parts of the world and each offers their own dance floor interpretation of house music.

All-Star Music selections by newcomers Calvin Sol, Glenn Gregory, Dj Andrew Waite & Gran Groove respectively. In addition to our new members, we have our original team of Greg Gray (sensei), Deep FX, Da Hit Makers, Dj Punch & SoulCAT (SammyRock & DJhousecat(La gata de Fuego).
